AGM update

Aaniin Gakina Awiya (Everybody),
Miigwech to everyone who came out to our Annual General Meeting last night. It was wonderful to see
so many community members willing to come out and share their voice on the continued forward
direction of Bawaajigewin in a good way.

I want to welcome all our new and returning community members as well as our new and returning
Directors of the Board. I am excited to see all the good work we can do together to bring forward new
programs and services for our community.

Sending a huge chi Miigwech to all our departing Board directors. Paul, Sam, Roxanne & Troy
are valued members of our community. We are grateful for their willingness to support our community
and share their voice. It has been a long journey getting Bawaajigewin back on track after all the
challenges everyone faced during the height of the Pandemic restrictions. Their assistance and direction
are greatly appreciated. I wish each of them well and welcome their continued participation and support in whichever way they can, if possible. If not, I wish them safe travels as they explore new experiences.

Given the lifted pandemic restrictions, the new and returning community members and the new and
returning Directors of the Board, I am excited about the future of Bawaajigewin. We have been
exploring some exciting new options and directions and look forward to all the good work we can do together.

Chi Miigwech to everyone,

Mary George
