Article | Med student honours mom by making her mark in Far North

• In honour of her late mother, Margie Plante, Queen's University medical student Candice Martin embarked on a six-week journey as a doctor serving Indigenous communities across Northern Ontario. Martin hopes to be able to return to serve the Indigenous communities. “The reason why it was important was because I wanted her to know it was her idea for me to go to medical school,” Martin said.
