Job Posting | Regional Indigenous Cancer Coordinator, Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Program (open until filled)

• The Indigenous Coordinator role provides support and advocacy for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis patients and their families throughout Waterloo Wellington with the goal of improving access to culturally safe service delivery for Indigenous community members throughout the cancer journey. The project coordinator works to ensure the development and sustainability of a respectful bi-lateral relationship with Indigenous community partners and leaders through education initiatives and systems level policy driven change management. This role works closely with the Regional Indigenous Navigator to implement the Waterloo Wellington Regional First Nations, Inuit, Métis and Urban Indigenous Cancer Plan with the support of the Regional Cancer Program. Their role will be foundational to ongoing efforts to reduce health inequities faced by Indigenous peoples.
