RECRUITMENT WORKING CIRCLE CALL OUT 

As part of the Pickering Public Library’s (PPL) new strategic plan, one of our priorities is a commitment to creating a caring culture that promotes social connection and inclusion and helps connect people to the services and support they need. A specific goal under this priority is to facilitate the celebration of Indigenous cultures and learn from Indigenous communities as part of our commitment to reconciliation.

We are reaching to DRICC members and their networks to help us in the recruitment of an Indigenous Relations & Outreach Associate to assist the library towards our goal. We are hoping that we can have up to 3 Indigenous members join this Recruitment Working Circle over three meetings. This will entail:

 

  • Meeting 1: review draft job description and draft interview questions

  • Meeting 2: review job applications and select a short list of candidates to interview

  • Meeting 3: interview candidates

 

An honourium will be provided for each meeting.
