Training | All Providers Better Communication Skills Project – Canadian Virtual Hospice (Program begins in February 2025 or September 2025; the deadline to register is November 4th)
You are invited to participate in this free virtual education program to improve your communication skills when communicating with seriously ill patients and those close to them. All interprofessional health care providers across Canada are eligible to participate.
The ABCs program is part of a Health Canada research project led by investigator Dr. Hsien Seow of McMaster University and his research team to promote early palliative care. Canadian Virtual Hospice is an official collaborator on the project.
Program details:
Total time commitment is about 12 hours over a 3-month period
7 online modules and 3 interactive virtual workshops
3 simulated patient encounters (virtual, about 15 mins each)
3 on-line surveys
Registration is from September 2024 to November 2024
Program begins in February 2025 or September 2025
An incentive of $100 is offered to participants who complete the full education program
